Ok, marmalade, here's the score. This thread makes total sense if you read the thread on Westfly.com.

Condensed version: A couple of two bit, Spudhead guide-wannabies from Idaho are dissin' anglers from Utah. The irony of anyone from Idaho criticizing anyone, from any other state, for anything . . .

Anyway, this is a central theme in American fishing in general: Blame everything on the guys from other states. Didn't catch? It's because those hardware hurling, meat flinging, ovarian hackle hocking, ironmongers from [insert neighboring state name here] caught them all.

Honestly, I've had a guy from Wisconsin stand there with a stringer full of 10 inch trout attached to his belt and tell me with no clue of the irony that there used to good fishing there until the guys from MN came over and fished the river out.
