Oh dog, if ever there was a post for me this is it...................
Barvas Loch: I started my fly fishing in 1973 aged three (yap three) on Barvas, my family have lived in loch street for about a billion years

Brownies: Small, worm infested but good sport. Anything dark will nail 'em.
Salmon and seatrout have an age old lie where they gather on the loch. If you look on google maps you'll see a small isle in the loch near the end of loch street. There's a line of large boulders out too the island. The boulders continue out pointing into the loch. Wade out to the end of the boulders and fish in the direction the boulders are pointing. If your after seatrout fish after dark. Use two flies anything big and bushy or a big muddler ( colour doesn't matter) on the top then a size 10 or 12 wet on the point anything with a silver or gold body. Salmon aint big 5lb mark with seatrout around 1lb. Biggest seatrout I've had 3lb biggest salmon 17lb on a size 10 cinnomon and gold!
Loch Ois: few miles from Stornoway. One of two lochs at the head of the river Creed. Walk down to the boat house turn left walk round edge of loch till you come to a small isle. jump down the bank (depending how much water there is) fish along this edge. There is groins along there and the salmon lie in amongst them. WARNING: The high peat banks regularly give way and fall into the loch, if you on top of these or worse under one when they give way fishing will be the last of your worries! I speak from personal experience.
Flies same as Barvas, keep the flies whistling through the surface.
I'll be in Barvas the last week of July/first August PM me before you go and I let you know the story.
Harris: Ulladale. Nuff said.
