Default Permafloat

Has anyone used this as a floatant as opposed to Gink? I was given a bottle and was wondering if it is any good?

Cheers

If it's the original formula (carbon tetrachloride, dimethicone, parrafin wax and silicone) in a brown glass wide-topped bottle, it's brilliant; nothing has ever come close. Unfortunately they had to change the formula due to health concerns over the carbon tet content, so I suspect you've got the MkII version in a squeezy plastic bottle. This stuff is hopeless (actually, I think it's nothing more elaborate than white spirit) and is best avoided. Gink is far superior.

Thanks for the reply; I will give it a miss. That Dilly wax looks interesting though.

Simple, just Google it - Lakeland have it, as Bruce pointed out above.
