Default Raith Lake Today

Frozen to the core!! Good mornings fishing my m8 and I bagged up (4 fish each), plenty plucks all morning. Fish moving on the surface even though it was so cold. Rods all stopped bending about 2.00pm when the rain stopped Very good looking fish. Loads of small pike caught by people. Flies that worked for us were, J.C, Red Holo Diawl Bachs, Hares Ear (red tail pearl rib), Cormorants. Afternoon was dour but cant grumble with a full bag.

On a side note, cast my flees out then put my rod down while I poured a hot cuppa, Thought to myself I hope a fish doesent take they flees the now...sure are sh#te a troot grabbed on and almost was away with my full outfit Must stop doing that. Anyone lost a rig in this way?
