Took the laddies up to Gartmorn Dam this afternoon (my local water). I ended up with 4 fish 1 ow brown and 3 rainbows. The youngest ended up soaked to the skin and frozen to the core. (up to his knees with the wellies on)

Just posting to let anyone whos interested know that the quality of the mended browns are stunning. They are like pure bars of silver. The one I got was about a pound and a half and full of water snails as are a lot of the silvery ones that I catch up there.
Funny thing today though, every fish I got was on a #14 olive frazer nymph, nothing strange about that, but it was on the middle dropper. Dont think I've ever had a day when the fish took only the middle dropper. Put the frazer on the bob for an hour and nothing would touch it. Dare say it was just fishing at the right depth. Hundreds of buzzers coming off but fish were not rising to them, slight sporadic rises but nothing to talk about. Probably came on soon as the sun went down a wee bit.
Anyone who hasnt fished the dam I would highly recommend it for the browns.
Thanks for reading my ramble
