Default Bowden Springs

Have been reading some very negative reviews about this place recently, I also lost faith with the place until 6 months ago.

My last three visits have been superb, the place is now very well run and the staff are very helpful and pleasant.

The only thing they could do is lower the price on catch and release wich at the moment is only a pound cheaper than a keep ticket.

It is what it is and that is a small water stockie fishery, but I have now had three very enjoyable days up there and caught a few very large rainbows and browns, also ticked off a few guys on the bait loch by catching within a few minutes when they are blanking (only so much power bait a fish can look at surely).

Dont be scared to give this a go, although its small you still have to match the conditions to catch and the guy at the fishery has always guided my to areas if I have been struggling.

Enjoyed my visits here more than fishing Linlithgow Loch recently, must be getting old!!!

Give Bowden a go, we have now made this place our local!!!

Try Bangour as well, only a cuople of miles away from Linlithgow as well, is also a relatively small stocked water, c/r ticket is a lot less than kill ticket, and surroundings and experience can be as good, if not better than bowden

Default Back at Bowden

Well almost went to Bangour but ended up at Bowden - again lol!

Only nipped away for 4 hours, had 2 on c&r and lost 2, it was a funny day - most people had about the same level of success.

A wee lass hooked herself on the bait pond (her dad had stuck on a treble as well), not so good and it took them about half an hour trying to remove it.

You can't be serious! Comparing Bowden Springs with Bangour which, IMHO is one of the best run small fisheries in the country.
