Two-turn water knot (three turns pointless as too bulky and weakens knot) or figure 8 knot.

Just google them.

Without question, the Waterman, Easy knot and can be tied with cold wet fingers. Thicker line, two turns, thinner lines, three turns. Remember to get a perfect knot for fluro, otherwise it will break. There is a good knot, called a dropper loop, but I wouldn't recommend it for fluro.

An interesting aspect of the "Water Knot" or "Cove" knot as it was often called was that Arthur Cove, in his book: "My Way With Trout", recommends a "4 turn knot".

However on page 35 and 36 we see a 3 turn knot pictured!

Arthur also strongly recommends that the length of line coming off the top of the knot be used to tie on the fly, not the bottom of the knot.

Taking the line from the top weakens the knot considerably, especially if you are using fluorocarbon.

Arthur is however quite right in stating that droppers should be kept fairly short, no more than 3 inches, or the fly will often twist itself around the leader and not fish properly.

I think it was Brian Leadbetter (I wonder what's happened to him) who described the importance of setting up a leader with droppers correctly in Trout Fisherman. He stressed that the droppers must all be tied such that they come away from the main leader on the same side; otherwise the flies will not fish properly.
