Scoop - best fly fishing book of the decade to be turned into top-notch film
For my money the best fly fishing book of the last decade published in the UK was Bob Wyatt’s inspirational ‘Trout Hunting – The Pursuit of Happiness’. Bob, it seems, now spends lots of his time in New Zealand where he’s got a mate called Carl McNeill, the guy who (with his wife) made the stunning, award-winning, shot-in-HD ‘Once in a Blue Moon’ DVD, about the propensity of large New Zealand trout to feast on mice in years when they’re abundant.
Carl tells me he and Bob have collaborated on a project and that a couple of months from now there should be a film available about Bob Wyatt, his approach to fly fishing along with material on how to make his small selection of essential flies. Two top-notch talents together. I just can’t wait!
