My old man taped pretty much every one he did for about five years i used to get up early on a sunday morning and watch 240mins of it, the tapes ended up pretty worn out. Mid winter canal fishing with Bob Nudd showing him up and fishing for mullet in spain are memorable. Looking back though it was tripe. Chris and Bob, now theres a duo that should team up again.(Heading for the trenches to avoid the artillery now). JB

Loved the music and atmospheric camera work by Hugh Miles, however their accents and behaviour were affectations for the camera!! I would love to see a another series, but i believe they are no longer friends. Mr James and the A.C.A. parted company in less than friendly circumstances over his expenses i believe, which was why i cancelled my subscription to that organization.

JW still makes new programs, such as the "Dream Fishing" series in 2008, but he can only sell them to Discovery satellite TV, the terrestrial stations are no longer interested. He admits as much in one of his recent books.

I also agree with the posts above that JW has fired his best shots as a TV angler and sadly is now a self-parody.

I recently watched an entire run of "Coast to coast" on Discovery - a BBC Northern Ireland series of 6 shows made in about 2003 and featuring Darryl Grimason fishing his way from Dublin up to the big Westren loughs and then over to the Antrim coast. I thought it was excellent !

Im with you two I`ll bring the sandwiches.

The thing that really irritated me about him was how he used to wipe the slime of the fish before he held them up for the camera to make them nice and clean... What a to,,er...
