Will your passion for angling influence your voting preference at the General Election?

No. I have nothing but contempt for politicians in general at the moment and I don't know if any of the parties are more pro fishing than the others.
If any of them thinks there are votes in being pro fishing no doubt the would come out in favour, but if they thought there were more votes in being anti fishing then that is what they would come out in favour of.

I don't know who I will vote for except IT WILL NOT BE LABOUR 13 years of total failure is enough. The others may not be any better but someone else must be given a chance, time for a change

As far as I can discover, the attutude of each party to angling is as follows:

Labour

Their statement that they are for angling is a pretence and is purely there to catch votes. If they had their way they would ban it. Brown particularly is completely anti any form of field sport.

Lib Dem

Totally oppose angling. Many Lib Dem supporters are also members of Peta

Greens

Again totally oppose angling.

UKIP

For angling and would want to encourage the sport/

BNP

Angling is not a priority but have nothing against it,

Conservatives

Genuinely pro-angling. The only person in the Tory Party who was anti-angling - Anne Widdecombe - has resigned from politics. They do want to see a stronger Angling trust though.

From that you can guess where my vote will go to.
