Well after 5 months lock up..i finally got out 2day.Well only had my floater and left lure box in the house...so it was tough going as the fish were in the depths due to the cold wind.Missed a fish on a montana nymph once i realised i had some in my new box along with a couple size 12 clouser thingy,s i tied...anyhow was nice to be out and see some friendly faces again along with a wee visit from nephew who was no help and just showed me how easy it is to blank...anyhow after missing another 4 and a great tip from fishery manager(cheers Darren you were right)...a wee move and a couple of casts i saved my blank.

The wee size 12 clouser swims upside down due to eyes and so i suppose the top lip is where the fish will be hooked most.






Was really nice to be out again and hopefully its a bit warmer and the fish will be in the top layers next time, at least im off the mark now.

we just need the snow to go,soon be time for dry fly,the cream.
