Default Boning pliers

Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone had any recommendations for good stainless steel pliers for whipping the pin bones out of trout?

Ta.

Ummm, boning pliars? So there's a special pair of pliars just for this?

Learn something new every day, here's me using a reasonably clean pair of needle nose pliars from my Gerber multi tool.

Try a pair of foreps like these * TAXIDERMY & MODELMAKING * Locking Forceps 4 3/4" on eBay (end time 01-May-10 21:39:52 BST) The jaws are quite short so they have a stronger grip than most others

Well I just use my wifes eyebrow tweezers believe it or not.

Give them a good wash after mind before she gets them back.

An old fashioned potatoe peeler, a clean pair of long nose pliers or a pair of forceps. Any 1 of these will do the job. The peeler isnt the yolk shaped speed peeler but the old style run it up the fillet until you snag a pin thin give it a twist and out pops the pin. I prefer the pliers though.
