Default Greys Platinum Floater

Just wondered what the consensus is on the Greys Platinum Floater (Hi-viz Orange)

I'm thinking of getting one for my Platinum XD 9'6" rod, so it should be a perfect match?

Any feedback on the performance of this line would be great?

Cheers
JD

The Greys Platinum is IMHO one of the best fly lines that I have ever used but save some cash and buy a line from Pitsford Pirate on the forum because his lines are every bit as good as the Greys Platinum.

Totally agree also check out Barrio lines on the Forum have seen a floater in use, and they are a decent line,
Most of my lines are Pitsford Pirate, cracking lines, excellent price, and top class service,
There is no need to spend your well earned cash on lines £40 plus.

Grey's tips sink in no time at all, used them the last year or so, and frankly find them a BIG dissapointment, I am using one of the Pitsford fly lines currently and they stack up to the greys or the cortland 444. and a fraction of the price

I have a platinum floater and think its a very supple line, casts well. Got no complaints with it. Had it 2 seasons (boat fishing) and its still in great nick. Use it on a #7 G-Tec.

No complaints with my Greys Platty. Have given the #5 heron grey some serious hammer over the last 12 months and it has performed admirably.

Default greys floater

mine`s a 7 floater and it`s as supple as you could wish for casts like a dream, on a 6/7 greyflex m2, i put some line slick on it every few trips, and you`ll have no probs.
