Can someone explain to me about the white trout that Kingsmill Moore mentions in his book.
Perhaps it is one for the Irish boys

we also call grilse peel/peal, at least down south...and fish = salmon, that one can be confusing when all a guys says is 'just saw a nice fish there' !!

To make matters worse if you come to the West Country a peal is a small sea trout!

Thanks guys I had a feeling that they probably were seatrout.
Only in Ireland would they be white when all the ones we catch are silver
