Default North West Wales

Looking at the forecast for Britain it looks like the whole country is getting and will continue to get a drenching over the bank holiday including some sleet and snow.

On the map though it looks like North West Wales will have the *least* bad weather except for on Friday and Saturday. It could be worth heading there on the other days, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday, Monday? Looks like the only thing on those days could be strong winds.

Anyone who knows this area well, I'm wondering what rivers or still waters may be fishable? Or maybe be in more sheltered areas?

BTW: What are Welsh Lakes called? Do they have a special name for Lake like Loch or Lough?

Cheers,

John

Get over to Llyn Brenig - not quite NW Wales but fairly close. It's fishing it's head off at the moment and if it's blowing a hoolie you can usually find shelter up the Brenig Arm or Sailing club bay - both areas holding fish at the moment.

If small waters are more your thing then give Eisteddfa fishery Nr Porthmadog a go.
