Hi

Being quite new to fly fishing i really struggle to know what each fly is called! Im just starting to go without my dad now and normally if a fisherman recomends a fly to me i ask dad which one it is!

So im just wondering is their any chart etc that i can get off the internet which will tell me what these flys are called, just a simple pic and then what is is would help!

That is exactly what I did years ago and I STILL refer to the catalogue for reference. It's a great way to learn the names of flys and the pictures in the catalogue are very good

Fastmail tackle sent me a fairly small A4 leaflet/catalogue with all their products in it, they have small pictures of all their flies on there... if i remember rightly; gave it to my mate.

Im not old enough to own a check book i may just pop a pound in an envolope get myself a couple of flys

have a look on fliesonline website they have a lot of flies you can look at
same as fastmail flies and donegal flies and fulling mill flies
there should be plenty of flies on them sites to have a look at
