Default Where to fish in South Wales

Hi,

we are in Wales for a week, staying near Hay-on-Wye. I was hoping for some suggestions of suitable (easy wading) places to fly fish with my 9 year old.

I have a book of vouchers and the Wye & Usk Passport, but was hoping for some good suggestions.

Many thanks in advance

Banu

Is it only rivers you are interested in or do reservoirs and stillwaters coem into the equation? For rivers the Wye and Usk Passport has loads of beats to choose from.

Small easy still waters for the boy (if anyone can point me in the right direction)... But I will definitely be trying some of the rivers.

Thanks

Probably one of the Dore beats if you're staying nr Hay on Wye. I suggest you PM Cranefly who will point you in the right direction

There have been plenty of Large Dark Olives about for the last few weeks; but haven't seen any March Brown yet.

There's been a lot of rainfall across South Wales today so river levels will be up - best of luck and hope you enjoy your day.
