Default River fishing in Gloucestershire?

Anyone point me in the right direction for some river fishing in gloucestershire?
Obvious good move is to join the Cotswold fly fishers club but I can not afford that at the mo.
I have discovered the Colne at Fairford but that is all I can find without 60.00per day. Not fussy about the size of fish. I would return most if not all.
Any ideas would be most welcome.

I think the Orvis shop in Burford can put you on a bit of the Windrush and there are day tickets on the Williamstrip estate at Coln St Aldwyn.

Whether these are within your budget is another thing...

Good luck,

Gudgeon

Have a look at this place

Accommodation Fairford/Hotels/Cotswolds/Pub Food :: The Bull Hotel, Fairford, Gloucester

There can be a problem with dog walkers, especially at the weekend, but the island stretch is private with some challenging fishing. Haven't fished their for a few years so can't give a recent report but is was good fishing.

I've posted quite a few times on river fishing opportunities in this area.

To summarise, day tickets waters:-

Windrush, Burford
Coln, Bull stretch, Coln St Aldywyns and the Swan at Bibury
Churn, Day tickets available from Churn Pool fishery (I think...)

Most of the Coln is tied up pretty tight as is the Windrush but check this out...

PM me if you need any further info.

Cheers
