i go 6 times a week unless the weather is extremely bad.

If it is how many times a week I go fishing then in the season it is normally twice.

Some people obviously have a lot of spare time! I'm lucky if I can manage once a month, hence no response to the poll above. There wasn't an option for an average of 0.23 times per week.

I spend more time out on the water than I do at home ( not including sleep time ) So it is 7 days a week for me , think I am an addict

during the season I would say twice on average . Sometimes more. In winter once a week if Im lucky,,

It varies, depending on season and weather and work, home and family commitments and whether there is enough daylight in the evenings to fish after work and whether the lawn needs mowing.

Once the evenings are long enough I like to fish the odd evening for trout at local stillwaters, but at 20 quid a time I'm not going to do that every night of the week. When my local club waters are fishing well for tench, I will fish as many evenings as I can, and when another club's little river opens for trout fishing next week I will be having a few evening sessions down there.

Weekends are a bit harder - I'll hopefully have a three day weekend coarse fishing somewhere very nice in May, and last season I had half a dozen trips to Farmoor and a few days on local trout stillwaters and a few trips further afield, as well as some weekend fishing on my club waters.

For all that, I think I would be doing very well to average more than once a week over the whole year.

During the height of the summer it's not unusual for me to have 5 trips out in a week but I'd put my average for the trout season at 2-3 per week.
Throw in a bit of SWFF, shore and boat sea angling trips to keep me going over the winter.

I went for 4 as an average as
Through the winter its Saturday and often Sunday
From Feb its Friday evening and Saturday and Sunday
And once the clocks change and Sunset comes after 8pm its 7 days a week straight from Work to the Welsh Dee (3min drive) get a few hours in while the Wife watches the Soaps and then set off back home at Sunset. Thank God the sea trout are not around in high numbers on the Dee or it would be a few hours after sunset and I may be single in no time.
