Smile Fishing in South Tyrone/Armagh (Blackwater, Upper Bann)

Hi All,
Just wondering if any of you have information in fishing around South Tyrone/Armagh? I will be down that way on Sunday so I'd like to get some early season trouting done. I was thinking of the Blackwater around Aughnacloy but I've read that the water is slow moving there and not suitable for the type of fishing I want to do. It gives for a turn in the weather so I'm not sure if there'll be much hatching so I'll be sticking to deep nymphing.
So, any suggestions? I was also thinking of the Upper Bann around Banbridge. Anyone got info on day tickets?

Regards,
Brennan

Was on the Blackwater last week around Clogher, it was desperately low, going to need a fair amount of rain to make it worth your while. I didn't see a tail, nor a hatch. You'll definitely need a ticket, the club bailiffs are on a mission this season

Blackwater River: Clogher and District Angling Club, Farmers Maxol Garage, Augher Road, Clogher
Aughnacloy and District Angling Club - Salley’s Filling Station, Caledon Road, Aughnacloy Tel: 028 8555 7306

No info on the Bann as yet, haven't heard anything to encourage me to make the trip so far

Upper Bann round Banbridge is very nice. You can get day tickets at Coburns Tackle shop in Banbridge. Upstream of the town around Ballydown has some nice water and downstream of the town around Lenaderg is really nice too.
