Hi everyone.

Has anyone fished this Lochan?

Permit required?

According to Bruce Sandison's Guide, there is no fishing allowed on this and other nearby lochans.
Still plenty of great fishing nearby, though.

Is that the private loch with rainbows in it? I know one of them has.

Isn't that Loch Coire nam Mang? The one in question is beside Loch Laidon, or have I got it wrong?

if it is this one which is next to what we call Druim you can get on it by speaking to the Garvault or Angus Ross keeper on the estate
this is a crackin loch (Not a Lochan) a fishes well in a stiff breeze.
i have ahd some stonkin broonies from it.Arachlinnie is well worth a bash too.

The one I was referring to lies south of Loch Laidon.

Thats the one.

Is this the Loch that has signs saying its stocked with Rainbows?

If it is stocked with rainbows i won't bother bloody crazy stocking with Rainbows in such a place.

Don't know, I've never been there. Looks like Bruce's guide (mine's the 2001 version) is out of date here. Things change, and stocking a wild trout loch with rainbows is not a change for the better, I have to agree.
In fact I wonder if this stocking is even legal as the area is a SSI.
