Default Broken G Loomis rod.

Anyone know the procedure from claiming the lifetime warranty of a G Loomis Native Run rod. I accidently snapped the tip section whilst boat fishing. I bought the rod from a small local shop - I think he imported a few from USA- I don't think he is an authorised Loomis dealer.
Cheers

Go back to the shop or speak to Shimano Servicing Felindre.

Default Broken loomis

Cheers PP. After reading the nightmare of previous posts re loomis guarantee and Shimano, I think I will go to the shop. I might also check my house insurance to see if it is covered- may save a lot of hassle.

Last year I broke the tip on my 2-piece 10ft #7 GLX Anti-Gravity, my fault, mishap.

Sent it to Shimano Felindre and they replaced the whole rod, including the butt section. Took two weeks.

Dear Pirate ,

Was that the one with the bad cork in the handle you were whacking on about the other day ?

If so why not break it again ?

best wishes

I broke the tip section of my Loomis 8'5" rod a few years ago. The rod was bought through GLA who directed me to Fishtec (the UK Loomis dealers at the time, may still be?). No 8'5" sections available so whole rod replaced with a 9' model. Very quick, efficient and painless.

Why on earth would I break a perfectly good rod just because the cork is poor?

I'd rather pay to get the job done properly thanks and not by you I may add.

As I have asked before, do you have to work hard at being a complete c0ck or does it come naturally?

The Pirate.

Default Broken Loomis

When I bought the rod it was £390. The shop got a batch from USA, but there was no guarantee (I reckon it was maybe ex shop demo or something). It was in brand new condition. I don't know if Shimano would take it without the guarantee (I could say I lost it).
Whaddya reckon ?

I can't even remember having a warranty card with any Loomis.

Like I say mate, speak to the shop first and if no luck then speak to Shimano.
