Default Cork handle

I use a two-piece 10ft #7 Loomis GLX Classic/Anti-Gravity for my Loch-style comp fishing.

Although I love the action and its overall performance, the cork is appalling. It is so bad the irritation it is putting me off my game.

Am looking for someone to fit me a new cork handle, top quality job and I'll pay good money but am not prepared to be bent over.

I need this sorted sharpish, I have a number of matches coming up over the next month or so.

Any help appreciated.

The Pirate.

There seems to be a lot of bad cork about at the moment, I have been pretty lucky so far.
Last week I was fishing with one of the new Maxia rods from Italy, it was Phils (flyfishwithme) and I have to say, not only was the rod very nice to fish with, but the quality of the cork was stupendous.
I searched high and low for filler and couldn't find ANY!!!
Made in Italy, so there has to be some good cork about.
Hope you get yours sorted Stewart, if I remember right, Diaramid RS2ford had a new handle fitted a little while ago and was very pleased with it.
Try giving him a PM.
S.

Get yersel a ZA and all will be forgiven.

ZA are gay, one of my team mates has one and he gayer than you Bro.

Helios is my back-up rod, it's a bit girly to be honest.

I've sent you a PM with links to various suppliers and tutorials in case you have to go down the DIY route.
No point in putting it up here as it'll be gone to post heaven in the great topic shredder.

Great thread, Stewart.

I think we need a new section "Jocks' late night session"

PP and I have respectfully agreed to disagree about the Helios

I have removed some of the replies within this thread due to there being a separate "discussion" that we would rather the 2 members concerned discussed in private and also the potentially offensive nature of the posts.
