Default Righto, I'm off into Sheffield with a bunch of flyers about the WTT auction lots..bidding starts tomorrow

....bidding starts tomorrow and there's loads of unusual lots suitable for many different depths of pocket! Guide prices start from £15 and go up to megabucks. A number of the lots are the kind of thing that you can buddy up with people to spread the cost a bit and there is a really good variety within the fishing lots.

For example, if reservoir loch style is already your bag (or if you've wanted to try it but been overfaced by the prospect) you can book my big Bro Ian for the day afloat in his capacity of current Lexus individual loch style champion.

Alternatively, if you wonder what the hell all the fuss is about urban river trouting - then you can get me for a day in South Yorkshire

There's also pike fly fishing lots, bass fly fishing off the south coast and a ton of other stuff too - all guided and all proceeds are used in the many, many direct habitat restoration works and technical advice, project proposals, guideline production/publication etc. etc. etc. that the WTT is engaged in all year round.

Treat yourself (or get in a birthday request!) - bid as generously as you can, but you've always a chance of a bargain, and some of our lot providers are so generous that money just couldn't buy them under any other circumstances.

See below for my first experience of a WTT auction lot when I accompanied the ex director Simon Johnson on a lot that he paid up for and won out of his own pocket (now that is an endorsement, coz Simon never pays for anything himself!!!)

I think he paid the princely sum of £40 for that day - and I for one am glad he did coz the fishing was amazing.....
