Welcome to the trout season lads! Hope the water warms up a bit for you! Our season here in Wales began on the 3rd, of March, But, the water temperature has put the little Pisces, off feeding! Good luck all; for the new season a-head!!

Nice brown trout there articwolf.

I was out today on Venacher, fishing from the bank as we though it would be too windy to take the boat out on our usual venues. Wind wasn't actually that bad although it was cold and the fish were not playing ball!

Oh well, better than a day in the office, and there is still tomorrow

Hiya,

I was out today on the gryffe, very very hard going on the fly, but a guy was fishing using a Rapala and had a nice Salmon prob about 8lb, was prob a good 10lb+ when it came into the river all those months ago, quite thin looking but big big fish, nice to see something caught as the brownies were not playing ball.

I'm looking forward to it. Couple of weeks to go before my club waters open though.

It'll be good for us all to get out - things have been particlularly fractious on here this winter. Hopefully a few fish landed will bring some welcome perspective on life.

Got to tie some flies now or I'll have nothing to fish with

Tight lines to all and best wishes,

Ben
