Default River Ribble Floodplain

Last week passing the ribble on the M6 southbound I noted that some of the disused sandquarry workings are being landsdcaped with some platforms.is this going to be a coarse fishery.or is there going to be space for a trout fishery.?

Jim

Apparently there are/were plans for it to be one of the biggest coarse complexes in the north of England. A successful similar scheme has been developed a few miles up the M6 at Borwick and there's no reason why it wouldn't prove equally popular at Fishwick.

Sounds to me like this is Brockholes, being developed as a nature reserve. Doubt if any fishing will be allowed.

It's been like that for a number of years now Jim... Haven't got a clue what they are doing with it though!
