I know it has its adherents bu having tried some a few seasons back never again.It sure can't cope with rough and tumble small river fishing as well as other brands- at least the way I do it...

Hi John,

Stroft is all I use on the mountain stream! Second season using it; and it's less visible on the surface than a lot of Mono! I also found it very strong!

I love the book, BTW.

Don't know how the price compares but it's £4.99 100m on ebay at the mo - various strengths
