Default linlithgow loch

Fishing Linlithgow for the first time on the 16th March. Any info on fish holding spots and flies would be appreciated. Prefer to use nymphs if weathers suitable.

Default buzzers

that same time last year, they were all over my buzzers, out in front of the car park. Could'nt do anything wrong. Dont forget the hang. First time for me by accident, fly just on surface thinking about where to cast next, and this 3lb,er appears out the depths, bingo.
good luck, for your trip.
hope to get over this year early again, as late on it was pea soup.

Hello again,

What size and colour of buzzers were you using? Was it stockies you were hitting with them? Any good overwintered fish showing?

Do I sound like the Spanish Inquisition?

I know there's been some debate about water clarity at Linlithgow Loch. Was down on Sunday so had a look. Am not an expert by any means, but visibility seemed to be about 2 feet. This was by the car park with the wind blowing onto that bank. Was a sunny day - so much bread lying around none of the birds were bothering to eat it.

lots of limit bags today on loch.
work was done over winter to divert several drains from loch into main drainage by passing loch, hopefully will reduce ph level and hence colour.
time will tell.

Hi Scott - Midge Tip, small black & green booby on the tail and a couple of black & green - black & silver buzzers - mainly over wintered taking buzzers - top left corner in shallows - watch oot for the ducks!
Good luck tomorrow.
