Default Rod licence

Crossing the border for a few days sport in May and I was wondering what is the bestest way to purchase a week rod licence ,online or just wait till I get there

yeah i would do it online , at least if theres any problems you can sort it before you come down

Online is ok if you can guarantee the weather if not Post office when you get there.

thanks for the prompt replies I think the bestest route is online as we do not need to wait for opening or find a post office
they just give you a number now for short term licences ?

Not sure about short term licences, but just print out the receipt and take it with you. If you get asked by an EA bailiff just show them your receipt, although a name and address is all they need.

Alan is right. You can buy your EA licence at the Post Office and specify the dates if the weather is not right . Being able to do that at the time of purchase is fine but the convenience of on-line tickets is also worth considering. At the end of the day, you pays your money and takes your chance.

Yeah fair enough you take a chance on line and i can say me and my family have used it for years never had a problem. Get a year one
