Default Time for a change ???

Since beginning to buy flies last year I have been using a mail order fly company.
First largish order to get me going came short through stock shortages. The second order again was a few short and my last order was delayed for a week or so and when arrived, again was short.
Now I’m not ordering unusual stuff, just the basic all rounder, adams and duns ect.

I am a patient bloke but its starting to brass me off a bit.

What are your experiences with mail order flies and is this usual???

I think its a difficult one , holding enough stock to satisfy orders and not tie up to much capital ,is a nightmare for the retailer ,especially in the present financial climate.
Your best bet for quality flies ,is order well in advance from one of the dressers here ,superb quality and dressed mainly by fishers !

I'm lucky enough to have a friend that does some tying for me and I also do some myself, but I've also used fliesonline for a few years and never had a problem. Good flies and an excelent service. I ordered on Wed, delivered Thurs, can't ask for more than that.

This is why I stuck with them. But I think a specialist fly only company should be able to cover 20 ro 30 flies from their hundreds of advertised examples.

I hate to see any fishing supplier struggle, after all we have seen too many close, but I think I should have a look round and see if I can get a better service.
