Question White Cart

Hi everyone,

Just got my season permit for the White Cart today, (c/o the Busby Angling Association), and was wondering if anyone knows of any good spots to fish it. Permit covers me from Waterfoot to Crookston. Not long started fishing, so any beginners help would be great.

Thanks again

Euan

Default white cart

Hi Euan,

I purchased my Abercorn permit a couple of weeks ago, dont know many hot spots but looking forward to finding out, the permit gives you 20 odd miles on 3 different rivers so plenty to explore, the river gryffe is an ok river, dont know much about the black cart if i am being honest.

Default White Cart at Linn Park

Hi Guys

I used to fish the Linn Park stretch of the white Cart many years ago, from the white bridge at the waterfalls down to Snuff-mill Bridge. Had some nice brownies and some good memory’s of that stretch.

Took a long walk along that area last year for the first time in years, shame it’s a bit overgrown in bits but still has some “fishy” looking spots.

Hope you give it a go.

Regards
dpat

I fished there when I stayed in the big smoke and the best advice was from Tackle and Guns
Don't remember the pools but from the Linn up to Busby used to do it for me
P.S watch out for the bear traps in the park
