Hi all i have a rio wind cutter line at the moment but i dont like the really thin running line so was after advice on a standard floating line for trout with a budget of £20-£30 cheers bobby

No doubt about it..for less than that you can get superb floating lines from either Pitsford Pirate or Barrio, both on this Forum.

In the budget range you just will not do better, in fact I think you won't do better full stop.

Agreed. Pitsford Pirate's lines are superb lines at great value prices. You won't go far wrong.

It's a Barrio line for me. Superb quality and just the right ammount of suppleness. Can't fault 'em.

I see the Barrio Outcast was first and second in the BFCC five weight comp at Newark on Saturday and only lost out in the Seven weight.

Another Pitsford Pirate fan - stopped buying expensive fly lines, in preference to his. Cheaper AND better.
