Hi Jenny

I have watched all these shows on your channel and loved them, All I can say is give us more

Anything New from Patagonia, New Zealand, Russia, Alaska, UK will always be well recieved and even more so if you can tempt Paul Young to present

Last year H&C showed "Tom's River", a one hour BBC documentary with voice-over by Hugh Falkus about the life and work of Tom Williams, formerly the bailiff on the Longford Castle beat of the Hampshire Avon. Tom used to write a weekly column in the Anglers Mail. Although made quite a while ago - mid-1980s I'd guess - the programme was superb. But I have never seen it repeated. Can we see it again please ?

Hi Jenny,

I for one like to learn something from programmes I watch. I do all types of fishing but my real love is river fishing for Trout and Grayling.

The best features bar none that I have seen are the River Academy series on DVD featuring John Tyzack and Dean Andrews. Absolutely fantastic!

In my opinion you could do a lot worse than get those two on.

Cheers,

Roger

Hmmm that channel is a new one on me but if it's going to be featuring some decent fly fishing certainly one I'll look out for. And yes some new Paul Young shows would be great.

Well if you are looking for new content there are a few top fishermen already producing DVD's. I've seen lots of tv programmes already where you see the angler getting excited that a fish is about to bite (even though when you look closely you can see the fish is already tugging at the fly line!) others abuse the fish on TV which is awful from an angling perspective, indeed insulting to an angler. Any content needs to show respect to fish, be modern, high quality and be informative. There are DVD's from many different anglers, some quite well known but they are often quite boring from old names in the industry, voices poor or filming poor, won't name names for obvious reasons.

Please don't go the excitable angler route shouting and abusing fish! My suggestion would be to check out John Tyzack and Dean Andrews DVD The Complete Mayfly, we sell it and it has gone down a storm. Personally I think it is the best DVD I have seen, indeed as an angler of 40 years I did not realise Mayflies took off the way they do until I saw their DVD! It is the first DVD that has really made me think about my fishing and made me really learn stuff. I can't wait until their next one. Content on fly fishing on rivers, lakes and sea at that quality that is genuinely informative would be the biz.

Andy

It was seeing Hywel Morgan on H&C that made me dust off my fly rods again
