Default Rather miffed, what!

Rather miffed, what!

Been calling the Hanningfield Lodge all week to book a boat for the opening day tomorrow (Sat 6th) and tried several times yesterday and again this morning but to no avail.

Eventually call an alternate number listed in their recently posted flyer only to be told that all the boats had been booked and none were available

Seems everyone had the same problem (no answer at the Lodge) and had called the Company's leisure hotline and scooped all the boats

Now booked in for Sunday and will miss opening day

One is not impressed at all

Indeed, Old Bean, One is but One grew up fishing on small boats and One still gets a slight stirring in the gusset upon sighting a wee boat.

The 'Bank' is essentially steep concrete with small steel cages interspersed along the bank to stand on. There is a Mole but vantage points are not easy to come by.

Whilst there are large areas of shoreline, it relies on low water levels which I dont think there after all the rain we have had.

Nope! Boat is must be!

That said, perhaps the wardens will know what and where has been fishing well after the 'hoards' have descended on my reservoir

Still, methinks One is allowed a certain pout and sulk this evening........

Indeed I can Sir Ben, we have both varieties

In fact we can even do one a shovel that comes with a small boy to do the digging for you. After all one wouldnt want to get ones hands dirty or, perish the thought, get calluses on ones hands
