Default Shrimps or scuds

At Alderneuk yesterday,Trout were stuffed with a small shrimp it appeared to be a light grey in colour, i take it these shrimps are common in stillwater,
Any idea of a good pattern for these,or do you just go for a shrimp size 14 as they are small.

Like you said either a small shrimp pattern if you have it otherwise a small Hare's Ear will do as well. Push comes to shove you can even use a small unweighted PTN. So long as it's small, grey and unweighted you should be able to fool a few fish.

Take care

You will not find a better pattern than a sawyers killer bug. I'll put, oooh maybe a £1 on it that this will catch you more fish when they are taking shrimps. A slow figure of eight with a twitch or two every half dozen figure of eights.JB
