Wink Lockwood Beck......

Just to let everyone know that lockwood beck was stocked today with 1150 hungry trout`s ready for opening day on Saturday.Size of fish were from 1.5lb up to 14lb.About 60 4lbers went in.It was really cold up there today so if you are coming up this weekend then come wrapped up.The fish were distributed all around the reservoir with the wheely boat,so hopefully they will be well spread.Fishery open`s at 08.00 for anyone thet is intending coming.Hopefully see a few forum members there?Dont forget your dawson`s nomad`s.......

The boats just off the jetty to the right were hammering them as were the first few pegs on the dam. The guys fishing just past the high bank and on the entrance to the small bay were also doing the business. Black buzzers, nomads, blobs, black fritz all took fish.

I went round to the concrete block across from the lodge and although I started very slow I ended up with 8 fish and that included a fish of 5 1/2lb. This fish took a damsel on a floating line.

Best of luck

Andy

The carpark was quite busy when I arrived at 7.30, some had been there since 6am.
Probably around 50 or 60 anglers altogether, just my guess mind.

How did you get on?

Andy

Again cheers for the advice, we fished down the bottom end I had 13 and my mate had 15 mainly to lures few to buzzers.
It was quite cold and i think we were lucky to have found the fish as everyone else was finding it difficult. Speaking to Gordon when we came of he said it was poor compared to yesterday but we enjoyed it.

Pedro.
