Default Recommended Fishery's in Derbyshire

Hi All,

Can any one recommend a fishery in Derbyshire? Preferably a reservoir with boat fishing if in season at this time of year if not bank fishing fine. Down this weekend and at a loose end.

Cheers

Rob

Most of the big reservoirs are not open until this weekend so it will probably be packed out and you wouldn't get a boat.

Foremark would be my choice as I'm not a fan of Ladybower which has no C&R option. So once you've caught your 4 fish you've got to pack in or buy another ticket.
Foremark has richer feeding and a better chance of a grown on fish.

Next weekend we have Carsington opening - now there should be some exceptional sport there.

Press Manor is usually good with a good chance of some surface sport as it warms early with good hatches.

Other than that try Toft Newton which is usually good if you can put up with fishing in a concrete bowl. I may go over there myself.
