well its now one apiece , fred taking the recent bout at pool , the day started with snow at home falling before i went across to ripon to pick him up then across to pool
for "10gloves" benefit about 50 mile all told mate

it continued snowing all the way across to his house eventually letting up as we went to pool where "arbuckle" decided to join us after he wasnt going to to start with , all tackled up and down to the river which was in fine fettle
and it wasnt long before "parrotface" and "arbuckle" were into fish ,
we moved further downstream to where an old tree lies in the river,
and then onto a straight stretch which looks absolutely featureless but holds some good fish , but alas we all drew a blank up there , this was when "arbuckle" decided to spit his dummy out

deliberating on whether to go home or not anyway we went back upstream and just above the bridge by this time it was around 2-30ish and "arbuckle" had now had enough and dragged his sorry ass back to the car

where he sneakily tried to get us on camera without knowing but we spotted, fred and myself had decided to stay , walking further upstream we came across some nice steady water at which i found evidence of otter,s that had been at work on the bank...
whats left of a good perch i would say around the two pound mark
fred and myself whent some way upstream stopping around 100 yds from the weir and made our way back down to the bridge pool , where by now the sun was getting lower by every second..
me i was having a mare of a day nearly every fish i hooked i lost off at some point which was rather frustrating considering it was the exact same set up as used before on my trips to pool and only lost an odd one
but hey thats fishing , and well done fred to getting equal mate
erm has anyone seen "arbuckle" not seen or heard of him since last sunday
