Default Keep fit

Over the years I've let my self go-too many pints and too many pies.
Last year was my first year at fly fishing and I found the river fishing a
bit hard.
Up and down the river searching for trout.
Up and down the bank to cast a line.
After a couple of hours I started to ache and consequently it effected the
pleasure of the fishing.
So I decided to do something about it.
I have joined the local gym- gone on a diet- cut down the pints.
Only been on it for a couple of weeks and I feel better already.
Roll on the trout season.
The things we do for the sake of our sport.

Me too i'm afraid.....since i stopped playing football 4 or 5years ago i've stuck on the weight.....

kept drinking just the same though.....and have went from 12.5 stone to 16 stone !!!

Been on a diet since christmas and cut out all alcohol....and glad to say i'm down to 14.5 stone......still a long way to go !

Playing football again (well trying) so hope to loose a bit more before the season starts....i'd like to get back to around 13 stone..
still 15 years of abusing my body will take some getting over !

Don't get me wrong if you've been away from the game for awhile and you've put a few pounds on...take care of your knees mate..take it steady
