Default T & S Rant

I have subscribed to this rag for many years now (along with others) but must say that it appears to be going down the commercial route dramatically.
We are now seeing articles on the Tulchan beat of the Spey and Wrackleford which ought to be categorised under "advertisement features". The actual amount of informative articles appear to be ever declininig and as we all know the river reports tend to be hopelessly out of date (I understand deadlines, etc but it makes them rather futile). Finally they do not give all the clues to their crossword. The March issue is missing 35 across
By the way what is 9 across?
Will I stop getting it? Unlikley!

Rant over and out

Getting pretty close in my opinion, if not already here, when the day comes that forums like this will surpass anything that the Magazine(s) will provide.

I think they (the mags) know that as well. I would suspect that they also have a declining pool of experts/knowledgeable scribes in which to call upon, hence the regurgitation of old stories spruced up a little.

They, from what I read on the various forums, can't even satisfy the offers for anyone wishing to subscribe to their mag!!

I thought the articles by SH, PP, LN, JB etc were quite good. Not really interested in the tackle reviews and ads, but better this month than last.
