Default How's that 10 day forecast for opening day (Wales) looking?

Lo gents (and ladies)

Nearly there! How's the 10 day forecast looking for opening day where you plan to fish on opening day? Of course I don't put much stock in the accuracy of 10 day forecasts, but mine's looking good at the moment for the Ewenny (Bridgend): Sunny the day before, and then light rain and high of 7. PERFECT olive weather.

Bring it on - less than 10 days now!

This may help:

Long term forecast for Cardiff in Wales (United Kingdom) ? yr.no

Normally find this Norwegian site to be very accurate!

Cheers

Soon be here guys.

I've been out all over the winter for the Grayling - cold last weekend but I got out anyway; the week before was milder and some little dark upwinged flies were hatching (won't try and name them) and surface takes were starting - all it will take is a bit of sunshine and game on.

In Wales, as in the West of Scotland, six hours is a long range forecast - ten days is a lottery.

My view is just keep an eye on the weather and the river and if it looks fishable - go fish it.

Agreed. The forecast will likely change dramatically between now and opening day. I'm just excited that I can once again get a forecast for a day I plan to go fishing for trout.

I guess my post was as much to highlight the proximity of trout season as to hear where people might be fishing opening day.

Don't get me wrong, I love chasing the silver ladies, but mademoiselle trutta just has that irresistible je ne sais quois....
