Default Bite indicators

There has been many debates on here about bite indicators in use for fly fishing but to reverse this, has anybody tried fly fishing for other fresh water fish such as roach or perch or tench etc with any success ?

There is a forum called i think, "Fly fishing for other species" on here. It covers fishing for several coarse fish, roach, perch, pike etc. Not come across tench in there, but i think there is some stuff on carp.

Just scroll down the forum list to find it.
