I've fished at Lyepole a few times....many more grayling than trout. Caught mostly on heavy nymphs fished short. Rarely see a fish rise there.

Regards

Peter

varies from a few inches to well over 6 feet but generally 2-4 feet with a gravel botton, easy wading but you need chesties.

Some photos from last season

I used to fish the Lugg regularly below the mill at Aymestry....alas a syndicate "took responsibility" for it...controlled by a solicitor in Hereford.I would appreciate it if you could let me know contact details for tickets!

Where is Lyepole? it really is a lot of years since I fished that s'pose I was miles from where you fished coz the Lugg at Aymestry trout up and down the stretch were very free rising.

I use a heavy cased caddis with a lead underbody & a tungsten bead. Anything pretty heavy should work well.
