Ditto. Hope the Hooked Live show is a success. It would be nice to have an annual 'fly only' show without having to wade through the cr@p at this weekend's event.

I did hear rumours that they were finding difficulty attracting exhibitors. Hope it's just a rumour.

I foolishly went to todays event, working my week around so that i would be in dublin for work yesterday. Absolute bag of rubbish. I was told by an organiser that it kicked off at 9am. Got there at 9.15 and found loads of fellas hanging around , presumeably been told the same. Only good stands i saw were Celtic Flycraft ( that welsh woman is such a charmer ) , and Donegal flies. Loads of sea fishing and Coarse stuff....I hardly saw a fly reel....Probably wont be able to go next weekend now.....

I was part of the Dublin Angling Initiative team at the exhibition teaching the kids fly tying etc.. was run off my feet both days. Good crowds although I didnt get to see many of the stands it looked like people were spending well.. Great praise should go to Lawrence and John from Ultimate Fishing Supplies who donated rods, reels, fly tying gear to us for the youths Many thanks Guys.........

Default Rubbish

It was a load of sh*t!
Celtic flycraft was ok and a couple of lads tying
There was a lot of people trying to get rid of ex stock by the look of things!

`well done on helping the youth, , i know a few guys involved in that , but it was a disaster and didnt get the crowds or the turnover they hoped for, and i know that first hand as my mate was working on one of the stands,
its been fallen down in standard this last 3 years, why do you think city west has come into play, this upcoming show will be good, the first ones normally are,

I cant see hooked being any better in terms of bargains ,Very dissapointed in hooked.ie no real Information on exhibitors only demos etc.. unless I know whos exhibiting I wont bothered to go.

Hts off to those involved in teaching kids to tie flies also to those who sponsored it. The one thing I did hear was the amount of rubbish for sale there was unreal. I heard that Jimmy Tyrell of Laois Fly-craft had a good stand and had some real good capes on sale. I'm glad I wasn't there
