Is there a fly fishing club I can join in the Southampton area. My interest are wild brown and (salmon hopefully) thanks. Steve

Not really, the rivers in the area are basically tied up in private day ticket fishing and syndicates.. there is lower itchen fishery at eastleigh, a rod there for the season (one day per week will cost you £2350) ...test valley angling club have bits of the river blackwater and fishlake stream (test tribs) and a bit of the test at romsey, Eastleigh and district have a bit of the itchen at bishopstoke but it suffers from years of neglect, to the point of being unrecognisable as chalkstream. there are others such as bishopstoke but they are in the thousands again and have significant waiting lists...

Give the Houghton club a call, I am sure they will point you in a direction!

Otherwise start going west .............. or bid for the Salisbury and District Angling Club membership on the WTT auction
