Default Whiteadder Reservoir

Hi,
Anyone fished the above reservoir over the last couple of years?
Im planning on going for some afternoon/evening fishing on the reservoir this season as i've not fished up there for about 15 years
Where are the best spots and whats you're favorite flies for the water?

I was up on Friday for a look. It was pretty much defrosted, with just a bit of ice near the damn area. If I recall the notice boards correctly, season starts there on 1 April. Never fished there, so just watching this thread with interest.

hi again goggs.
aint fished it for 15 years, but things probably aint changed much.
favourite cast was of 4 flies, ace of spades size 8 or 10 on point, peter ross next size 10, then gold bodied wickhams, then zulu on bob!! all fished on medium sink kline from boat, but pulled back at medium speed.
used to catch a lot of wild browns up to a pound drifting from boat shed down to point that juts out, then around point to road.
on opposite bank from directly across from boat shed down to the next bay, forgotten its name now but is one that points left into hills, this bay was also good with east wind from trees back to bridge.
regards
bert
