Hotel details

Less than 15 mins from Rutland, 5 mins from Eyebrook, almost straight road there.

Dirt cheap but very modern comfortable accommodation, full facilities, food is excellent, very nice bar.

Book online, it's cheaper.

The Pirate.

Nivek,

We go to Rutland every September and use the Boot and Shoe Pub at West Luffenham. We normally get 8 to 10 anglers and Warren charges us 25pp B&B.

It's cheap the accomodation is basic, but the food is more than adequate.

Agree with PP on this hotel. We got it for £22 a night inc a fantastic all you can eat breakfast. Food in the evening was good as well. Just a shame the bar didn't stay open into the early hours.

I haven't fished Rutland for the last few years (that will change this year!!) but when I did we always stayed at the Horse and Jockey in Manton. Basic B+B with shared bathrooms/shower but it fitted the bill for us. I've just googled it and it looks like it's been taken over by someone else so not sure if they still do B+B:

One year we failed to get in there and ended up staying at the Rutland Angler in Oakham - never again!! but in fairness they were having a complete refit during our stay so that may have been the problem!

This might be worth a look if you're struggling:

rutland b&b - Google Maps

BTW, the Rutland Angler is now Calico, and I'm not even sure they do rooms now in any case.

We are staying at The Falcon Hotel in Uppingham at the end of May for a week. This will be our 3rd time at this hotel. It is a bit dated but it is clean and we get it for £25 bb. There are plenty of places to drink, eat and get takaways within 100 yards of the hotel and it is about 10 mins from rutland. The Vaults pub over the road does lovely food and also has 3 rooms.
Always phone or Email The Falcon for best price.

Thanks for the recommendation, my Lakeside B&B is right on the lake shore overlooking Dickenson's Bay, Rutland Water. Good bank fishing early season from the house, all fishing facilities, freezer, fly tying, fishing room etc, great breakfasts, 4 ensuite rooms, good bar within staggering distance, special deals for fishers. Rutland Fly Fishing and Rutland Water Bed & Breakfast good venue for teams.. Rob
