Default Hello and advice if you please.....

Hi, new to the forums and returning to the peaceful life after a break from it.
Ife previously done a limited amount of fly fishing (about 10 years ago) on small still waters but i was more a coarse angler, hopefully the watercraft is still stored in the grey matter somewhere

Anyway, ive just invested in similar kit to that i had when i last fished, that being a 9'6" #6-7 and a cortland 333 WF7 floater, thankfully i've still got all my flies and other sundries stored away so its not been an expensive shopping trip

Anyway, back to the task in hand........... i live in Derby city centre and i'm basically looking for a a bit of advise venue wise, previously i've fished Alton Manor up in Idridgehay and visited Thornton res in Leicestershire on the one occasion, along with a jaunt to Felindre in Wales

Anyone have any suggestions for dayticket stillwaters in the area, Notts and Leicester too for the odd trip further afield (i may well venture into flowing waters as my experience picks up but will stick to still for now).

I've been searching around and Press Manor has been mentioned, and it all sounds a bit up in the air with regards to Carsington and Foremark, theyre nice and close and i would love to get back out on a boat again.

All advise, and hellos greatly received.

Andy
