Scooby, you're missing the point mate. The post was made with a genuine concern.

Seriously, you really need permission to put this sort of stuff on a forum. Links are fine, lifting pages straight from a copyrighted source are not, especially since the author is also a member who will see it. It is an increasingly litigeous state we live in.

Stan is only a PM away, I'd suggest getting in contact and asking if it's ok.

I recently sent Stan a pm asking for permission to use several pages worth of fly patterns that were tied / used on Loch Leven as i have got into the traditional fly pattern side of fishing as well as the modern.
as i am creating a blog so wanted to provide traditional patterns and useful patterns for the Loch. Stan was kind enough to grant me permission to use them. i will be using my pictures of the flies i tied but using his pattern ingredients.
i will also be providing a bit of detail about his book and may be adding a link to amazon so people can buy it if they wish.


So Stan thank you for allowing me to duplicate your patterns from your fantastic book.

Most people are ok about that sort of thing if you ask them first.
