Default PMA what do you think

Ok
Me and my best friend GHG went to Maran today.
Me in a hightened state of anticipation, not having sorted my blank stage yet
and she in a calm confident "Im going to catch today moment"
Which one caught?

GHG had a fantastic day - 9 fish on the line. I drew a complete blank even after I had stolen her fly and her spot on the bank!

Watching GHG fish is a revelation - she tangles herself up, gets mud all over her line, rod and self, catches tree trout but once her fly is on the water she was unstoppable yesterday!

Still I had a good day as a ghillie!

No surprises there then. I've often found that if I go fishing in a relaxed confident mood I'll catch right from the off. If, on the other hand, I'm a bit wound up, or I've been anticipating too much, or I'm just tired or irritable from work then I'll struggle. However, I've reached the point at which if it's the latter situation I can recognise it and settle myself down. Success then usually follows.

Hey up Mr M&M - go steady, you may find i resemble that remark Anyway, in a post fish, and alchohol infused, de brief (don't go there!) it was concluded that:
Yes - those emotions do travel down the line and yes, me old mucker would have done better to extend the leader on her floating line.
Well, maybe......

Having a"killin'" fly and bein' on the fish is not a guarantee of success,as we progress in little, even imperceptible ways...a softer touch down a less jerky or better timed retrieve can make all the difference
